Bluegold might not be a famous restaurant, but that does not mean it is not worth checking out. Bluegold serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. In fact, they were the last restaurant serving food in Pacific City. We loved every dish and even enjoyed a few cocktails at the bar. With the prime beachfront location and the exquisite menu, Bluegold is a must-try restaurant in Huntington Beach.

1. The Food
Where do I even begin? I think the pictures speak for themselves. Looking at the menu, please do not think this is your average breakfast burrito. Rather, this is smothered in sauce and loaded with grilled onions and chorizo.
Eggs benedict are always a good choice when trying out a new restaurant. I cannot confirm this, but I think the english muffin was made in-house. I have never had bread melt in my mouth the way that did. The poached eggs, bacon and hollandaise sauce was the perfect combination and was not overly filling (unlike the burrito!).
There were several nights we walked through Pacific City looking for restaurants still serving food. We stumbled into Bluegold whose kitchen was still open. We splurged on oysters, mushroom risotto, french fries, and cocktails. It was the perfect late night meal.
2. The Drinks
To start the day, I always opt for coffee and Bailey’s. It was a foggy morning in Huntington Beach and sipping the java with the beach in the background revitalized my day.
When we stopped in for a late dinner, we loaded up on cocktails. I had a few lemon drops with Tito’s. Sitting in the bar area eating our late night bites, we enjoyed the many cocktails we ordered.
3. The View
When we made a reservation for the Bluegold in Huntington Beach, I wanted to ensure I got a beach view. Since we arrived right when the restaurant opened, we were able to pick our table. There is not a bad seat in the house when this view is beside you.

4. The Aesthetic
Bluegold is very much a beach vibe. With wall to wall windows of waterfront views, you are constantly reminded of the beach. Bluegold also offers a bar area which was fun for our group looking to have a cocktail and some bites. There is also an outdoor patio that looks out over Pacific City.
5. The Location
Located on the second story in Pacific City, Bluegold is prime location for beach-goers. Just shy of 0.5 miles from the Huntington Beach Pier, the restaurant is within a short walk from the beach. Furthermore, Pacific Coast Highway sits just outside the restaurant.
