It is absolutely true, when driving into Paso Robles there is a likelihood you drive on California State Route 46 which is where the famous actor met his fate. As you approach the city, you will spot different wineries, each with a different niche. There is so much to do and see in wine country. This list outlines 5 wineries in Paso Robles that are amazing and memorable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Driving into Paso Robles on the 46<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\nPaso Robles is approximately 2 hours from Bakersfield and Fresno in the Central Valley. More excitingly, this wine country is approximately 40 minutes from the beach cities of Cayucos<\/span> <\/a>and Cambria. Whereas Napa Valley is located in Northern California, Paso Robles gives Central California a little pocket where grapes grow and wine is flowing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
1. Croad<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\nLocated just off the 46, Croad <\/em><\/strong>sits atop a hill overlooking the valley below. When we visited, we sat on the patio with the view. If you tell someonee you went to Croad<\/em><\/strong>, their reaction will most likely be “That place is beautiful.” It is true. Even if you are not a big wine lover, the patio and view will be enough to make your afternoon complete. <\/p>\n\n\n\nSee why Croad <\/em>has 4.5 stars on YELP<\/span><\/a>!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Austin Hope<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\nThis winery is called Hope Family Cellars. Their most famous brand of wine is Austin Hope<\/em><\/strong>. This wine is the craze right now. We have had a membership for a few years now and we think of the wine as “special occasion wine” because it is so good! The winery did not look at all like I expected. The facility is an all wood structure set against vineyards. You can sit inside or in the patio. As we visited on a weekday and did not have reservations, we were happy to get a seat on the patio. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\nThe wine was delicious, just as we expected. The wine educator was very attentive and loved her job. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and looking at the surrounding greenery. Our group became obsessed with the rolling hills of grape vines. We loved it so much we asked if they allow weddings there. With the white colonial farmhouse and barn, this winery is also a breathtaking venue. We sat on the patio for a tasting. It was a bustling Saturday afternoon and the wine helped us cool off. The outdoor patio featured couches and firepits, perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine. Many of us left the winery with bags of wine. There are many picturesque spots on the property to take photos with friends and document your trip. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her dinner at Thomas Hill Organics<\/em><\/strong> was one for the books. The food was extraordinary. After a day of drinking, I would be happy with Taco Bell. I am thankful for this birthday dinner because it introduced me to this restaurant. The Cheese Monger’s Board<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\nOur table started with the Cheese Monger’s Board and an order of Local Bread. Both helped hold us over until we received our meals. The Flat Iron Steak with mashed potatoes had my mouth watering. I cannot believe I would have gone to Taco Bell and never tried this place.
